Bringing insight from adjacent industries — arts & culture, music, education, parenting and social services — you will have a professional and cooperative thought-partner alongside for the journey, who deeply understands of the beauty and challenge of reaching a niche audience through strategic communications and a strong brand identity.
Before working directly with clients to amplify their communications efforts, Christine de Michele spent 15 years in the NYC Arts & Culture sector with established organizations, 92NY, Jazz Generation, Turtle Bay Music School, NYC DOE, Music for Autism, Compass Music Lab as well as international groups Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies, TailorU Collective and others. In that capacity, she held several roles from communications director, grant writer, program manager, program designer, board member and small business owner.
In her practice as a writer/strategist with a strong human-centered design background, she supports founders, executive directors, philanthropists and social entrepreneurs, inspired by their work and alongside to bolster their messages.
“We hired Christine de Michele to help us with communications work for our small consulting firm. She did an excellent job of getting to know our voice and our style so she could develop a suite of steady messaging that really felt authentic to our point of view and philosophy. In many ways she improved upon our communications making them more relational in style and engaging to the reader. We really appreciated Christine's contributions to our firm and she was a total pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Christine - she is a total professional.”

"We hired Christine to craft the brand identity, communications and user-journey messaging in the early stages of TAILORU, an international startup that connects women artisans in Vietnam with a US market for custom clothing. Christine cares about people and uses her creativity professionally, to make their experiences better. She is a multi-talented creative professional and was an absolute asset to my business."

"I've been meaning to thank you for your letter. It really showed what a terrific person you are. I also just got word that we succeeded in our NYSCA grant that you oversaw. Beyond my personal gratitude for your work, the organization also thanks you. It will make a big difference for us."
- James Polsky, Executive Director, Jazz Generation, New York, NY
"Usually, people wear one hat, she has two: a solid scientific approach, and within this structure, being creative. Thousands of learners are joining our IDEO U courses, but I clearly recall Christine - her participation was a gift. Christine is a wonderful human being. "
